Kit Carson along with Buffalo Bill, Wild Bill Hickock and George Custer were the heroes in my day and so passing through places named after them is pretty cool.
Their stories were legend and many a good comic --- that's a magazine for young schoolboys to you all and not a comedian --- kept me occupied , day dreaming about how the west was really won.
So Carson City is just over the hill from Reno ---
Seems like it was founded when the trains were being established.
Anyway it is a bit different today ----- still very elevated
And like its big brother Vegas , it knows how to put on a show and to milk an audience--- for every red cent they have---
Our friends Anna & Soulis have been telling us about this place for years and the only thing missing for them and Lori is Pondo- as they all used to love coming down here to relax and try to take home more money than they came with.
So we are staying in the Silver Legacy Hotel & Casino which was recommended and it has everything that anyone could need including stopping the need to go anywhere else at all, amazing places.
Really cheesed off that had we been 2 weeks earlier then we would have been able to see Frankie Valli--- another hero of ours from right up our era musically---
how did they all manage to wear better than me that's what I wanna know---
Anyway after checking in we did the pool to chill out and then went to dinner and a really nice place back over the river bridge---
Dinner was great and then back to the Casino for a very small flutter--- so Lynda and I don't do the Blackjack or the Roulette but are more into the one arm bandit machines---
and she did ok winning $40,
But I slightly topped that with a win of $76---
So that's enough excitement for one day there appears to be plenty going on downstairs in the casino and on the street but we are tucked up in our room counting our winnings------yeahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Need to be careful tomorrow, all this winning might be going to my head.
