So we knew that it was gonna be a scorcher and with Lyndas leg being a bit uncomfortable, we decided that after breakfast we would take a trip into Phoenix and pick a few bits we have on a list for taking home -- IT ACTUALLY GOT TO 107F.
And who would have thought it from the evening before -- some great shots around the Tanque Verde Ranch ----
When the opportunity for the picture below came the horses were moving around in the Corral and creating loads of dust in amongst the sunset.
WE did on the drive end up passing Chandler and the wonderful very large set of Micro-processing plants there that I know and have visited many times , and they are still building.
So basically mission accomplished yesterday -- well almost everything -- sorry Mollie , looks like you've missed out :-)
So then after an evening in the dog house -- not me -- us in the bar, we decided to fish again this morning but first we sat on Bob and Rita Cote's love seat-- it is a rocker and very cool
Best selfie I have taken in a while-- even if I do say myself.
So back to the fishing -- well we were about even at 6 a piece. They were a mixture of Wide Mouth Bass, and Catfish in the main with a couple of fish that look like Dabs to me---
This was our man Rich who did a great job of taking care of us and that included having to re-rig about 4 rods and lines where the hooks were ripped out -- some fighting fish out there.
Nice little Catfish
Lynda's final fish of the day -- after 2 hours it is around 98 degrees so time for a stroll back to our cabin for a drink.
So after a sit down and a tidy up it was off for my next ride at 1pm followed by a swim and then back up to the cabin while the boss had a sort out of the luggage and a stretch out on a lounger at the cabin .
A good ride in 100F but great fun.
A cookout in Cottonwood tonight so Yeeha
