Waiting for a Live Link-- Here's Hoping

Yeah well its match day and with Chelsea playing away at 5.30pm today means that I am in the hands of NBC Sport to see whether they will have the game on --- pleased , pretty please---come on , I have the shirt on

Soon find out I guess and if they are not on then it is the pool I suppose.

BTW a big Happy birthday to my mate Hugh in the next room--- Mate just keep on the way you are cause you are a real star.

Nice shot of the birthday boy, in a cable car going up to about 9000 feet in the mountain over Palm springs---last time Lynda and I came up here there was snow all around while it was a hundred degrees in the valley--weird.

So yesterday we had a pretty busy day starting with brekkie by the pool and then of to another graveyard--well why not--we are in Palm Springs so worth a view------

 

A couple of the more famous residents in the PS cemetery.

 

 

Also another is a Busby Berkley who produced some of the most amazing cabarets

 

 

It is a real leveller that all the graves have flat plates in the grass and no big monolithic head stones---its so they can cut the grass properly with out having to skirt around but it certainly brings everyone into the same place---no matter how much you own.

 

So from there we went to the ariel tramway to go up the side of the mountain to the west of palm springs---

 

 

 

 

50 years yesterday this tramway has been up here and it was built with using helicopters to ferry men and material.

I think this is Cathedral City but the layout of all the areas is amazing--

 

That's the 62 heading north off the I-10---this goes off up to Joshua Tree--

And I amongst all those amazing landscapes you find this kind of beauty---o lucky me--

And occasionally you find young love  wandering around the mountain tops---

 And here is my mate whose birthday it is today --not when we were up there---

 

We decided that we would have a swim when we got back and then do a bar-b-q and finished the evening off well in the hotel.

 

So I didn't get the game as it ended not being on anywhere, and if it had been I would have been late anyway cause I though it was to start at 10.30 her in PS but actually it would have been started at 09.30---all round cock-up really including the poor result from the lads--loads of possession poor finishing.

 

Really late doing this today so I am gonna wrap up now and get ready to go out for dinner as I am getting real hungry----laters.
