What do the England Football Team and Marilyn Monroe have in Common.

Well from evidence yesterday I would say that they were both being very modest and I think the England performance meant that they won.

Having said that we, English in the Hair of the Dog English bar in Palm Springs could not find the English match on any channel for the game against Ukraine, so don't know if Abramovich nicked the rights to the game or what but we were stuffed . So I do only have the reports written to go by.

Best thing about the game must have been Frankie's 100 cap---ok so I mentioned it yesterday --so , it's my Blog and I like the bloke ok---

So your wanting to know what the hell this has to do with Marilyn, well its like this--she is currently posing in Palm Springs , on N. Palm Canyon----

And here is Marilyn standing over the grate trying to stop the dress flying up showing the world her knickers.
Now do you see why they are both modest but the footy team won---well they needed to win to be almost certain of qualifying for the Brazil world cup.

Anyway Marilyn failed because she forgot about the back of the dress----

 

So there you have it , for the most modest performance yesterday, the England team won--well good to know they can win something cause it isn't going to be the world cup.

 

While we are on the subject a big congratulations to the USA mens soccer team for getting to the finals in brazil--fair play to you guys.

 

So there Lynda and I were yesterday all psyched up and didn't get to see the game--had the Chelsea top on as well--with no game to see so came back here to see if I could get it online.

 

Not sure about anyone else but this is where computers scare me a bit -- well you know, they say I can get FREE online streaming of the game if I click on here and when you go in there they wan you to join this and on all they want you to fill in a questionnaire ---does that scare anyone else.

Had a MacAfee notice half way through telling me they had just removed a Trojan, and I at least know that they are real bad guys and should be avoided at all costs, so I gave up trying after that as I would rather not have the computer full of virus when we are near to the end of the trip.

 

So we ended up doing very little yesterday--soaked it up by the pool until tea time--Lynda & I have a bit of a routine now that includes having a cup of tea around 5.30pm every day before we get ready to go out for the evening.

And while we are on about it, you Americans need to wake up to the fact that you know Jack about tea---

Ok , so now we have cleared that up we went out to dinner at a half decent Mexican Restaurant last night and had a really good meal---Lynda got her Fajitas and I had the Chimichange  which were both great but very large.

 

Oh and of course with the Mexican comes an inevitable Margarita so to prove it---

 

 

Ok, so that's me done today --short and sweet , just like me, and we are out and about today -- Lisa and Hugh arrive later for a couple of days, so looking forward to that and it will give an excuse for some more photos for this page.

 

Now just need to identify the place that is gonna get the Mighty Blues match at 10.30 usa time this Saturday--gotta be easier than that non-sense yesterday-------come on you blues!
