I make no apologies for the fact that they earn extra money to help with their ideas and plans by training one or two to be posing with us humans for pictures, because it is done well, is thoroughly supervised in line with legislation and ensures that there are plans for the future of the wildlife that will in time protect all species and ensure that those that callously kill animals for sport or medicines are stopped once and for all.
So after all that we had a great time at this centre and the following are some of the favourite pictures we took----
Then Lynda got much bolder by stroking a Python----Lucky Python
Followed by making friends with a Parakeet ----
followed by the piece de resistance -- Her meeting Skippy---well lots actually---
And as always , Lynda has them eating out of her hand--- literally.
A few other assorted shots---
And Lynda even found a mother with a baby in the pouch--think he must have dived in there to get his milk--- see the feet hanging out--
I am sure there will be some more selected's on FB at some point, but for now that will do.
So today is our last day at this amazing resort -- big recommendation from us both for the Sheraton Mirage Hotel in Port Douglas and that we are both agreed is a fantastic little town after our Tapas meal last night there, but like the Yanks , its nearly closed by 10pm.
So it is chill out today before we hit the road down the East coast tomorrow morning with some great stops along the way. This phase of the trip has been absolutely amazing and Lynda and I have had a real holiday here that we wont forget.
BTW -- Up the Chels
